A neuroscience lab directed by Steve Chang at the Department of Psychology and Department of Neuroscience at Yale University is hiring either a full-time data analyst (with BS, MS, or PhD) or a postdoctoral associate with excellent data analysis skills. The position requires analyzing single-neuron electrophysiology data with respect to complex behaviors and, possibly, also building computational models of the data. An ideal candidate would have prior experience in signal processing or computational modeling. Individuals with experience in signal processing (biological or non-biological) and / or modeling are also encouraged to apply.
Research in my lab at the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is aimed at understanding the neural mechanisms responsible for social cognition. We rely on neurophysiological and neuroendocrinological approaches to answer this question, using nonhuman primates that are actively engaged in social interactions as our model system. The Chang lab is located on the main campus and the medical camp...us of Yale University. We currently have two postdoctoral fellows and five graduate students working in the lab.
