A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the laboratory of Dr. Roger Clem. Our research program is focused on the cellular and circuit basis of fear and anxiety, with a special interest in synaptic contributions to memory storage and updating. Potential projects will incorporate anatomical mapping, electrophysiological interrogations, and in vivo manipulation of brain pathways, cell types and behavior-specific ensembles. Information about specific projects is available upon request. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience in rodent behavior, intracranial surgery, electrophysiology, and optogenetics. We seek highly qualified and motivated postdoctoral fellows who are prepared to make major discoveries.
Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or associated field.
