Dr. Qin Wang’s laboratory (http://apps.medicine.uab.edu/facultyDirectory/FacultyData.asp?FID=20614) has a general interest in GPCR pharmacology and signaling in the central nervous system. We are seeking a motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to study synaptic signaling in neurological diseases. One current focus is on the role of alpha2 adrenergic signaling in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis (PNAS 111, 17296).
PhD or equivalent in pharmacology, cell biology, biochemistry or neurobiology. Preference will be given to individuals with analytical skills.
