The Department of Psychology (http://psychology.arizona.edu/) at the University of Arizona invites applications for a faculty position in the neuroimaging of normal and pathological aging and cognition. The position rank is Associate to Full Professor with tenure.
An interdisciplinary perspective and experience with multiple methodologies is highly valued by our department. Research on cognitive aging and risk for dementia has long been a focus at the University of Arizona, represented by faculty studying humans and animal models and typical and atypical aging. We seek a colleague who is a leader in the area of neuroimaging and aging. The UA has significant strengths in MR physics, biomedical engineering, and optical science and we seek a colleague to add to these areas through a collaborative research agenda.
Faculty at the University of Arizona teach courses at graduate and undergraduate levels and contribute to mentoring students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds. Our faculty also contribute to university service and community outreach. In these and other ways, faculty members are expected to help in the development of innovative approaches to enhancing student engagement, increasing diversity, and expanding collaborations with community and business partners.
