The Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR) at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research position to study Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis within the CNDR Drug Discovery program, with an emphasis on translational research focused on identifying therapies for slowing AD progression. Candidates will have access to state-of-the-art cell- and animal-based models of AD, and will work in a collaborative program with a pharmaceutical partner to characterize AD therapeutic agents. A strong background in Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, or related biological discipline is required. Preferred candidates will have previous experience in the utilization of mouse models of neurodegenerative disease, including immunohistochemical and biochemical analyses. Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to independently design and carry out experiments, a record of high productivity, and a strong willingness to work as part of a highly collaborative team.
