The Hebb Laboratory is accepting applications for a 1-2 year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship to investigate translational molecular and cell biology in neurological disease, with specific focus on neurodegenerative disease and neuro-oncology. Studies will utilize tissues from living human and animal central nervous system, and involve a broad range of cellular, molecular, imaging and in vivo investigations. For those interested, there will also be opportunities for clinical exposure to a host of human neurological/neurosurgical disease.
-Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline
-Strong background in Cell and Molecular Biology
-Previous experience with cell culture, animal surgery and histopathology
-Strong scientific publication record
-Experience in bioinformatics
-Excellent oral communication and scientific writing skills
-Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Reference Manager, EndNote, SPSS)
-Ability to take guided initiative and to work in an organized fashion within a fast?paced research environment, including flexibility in shifting between independent and collaborative work
-Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism and interpersonal skills
