NeuroInitiative (NI) is a small, fast-growing independent research group headquartered in sunny Jacksonville, FL and focused on therapeutic drug development using our patented pathway simulation tool in concert with traditional lab techniques. We are very passionate about our mission, which is to empower discoveries that improve human life and are looking for like minded and ambitious individuals. Current projects focus on pathways involved in Parkinson’s disease, with future direction towards Alzheimer’s pathways. The group is composed of software engineers who design, develop and maintain the pathway simulation software (SEED) and biologists with a strong bench background who understand experimental design, hypothesis testing and the challenges of traditional bench work. The purpose of this software is to enable bench scientists to create in silico models of disease, test therapeutics and perform experiments using the simulation software. Biologists work with outside Contract Research Organizations and collaborators to complete in vitro and in vivo experiments to complement the simulations. This position may be located in Jacksonville FL, or Cambridge MA.
