An NIH funded Postdoctoral/AssistantScientist position is available in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California, near Los Angeles, USA. The research involves study of brain-gut emetic circuits. The position requires a strong background in calcium imaging, immunohistochemical and histological techniques, tissue slice preparations, confocal microscopy and molecular techniques such as Western blots and cloning as well as behavioral studies. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related area with multiple publications in calcium imaging and immunohistochemical techniques.
