Multiple postdoctoral, graduate student and technician positions are available immediately in the Goldberg lab in the Department of Neurobiology at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. Applicants should have a STEM background (Math, CS, Physics, Biology, or Neuroscience) and have a passionate interest in machine learning and/or how the brain controls behavior. We use electrophysiology and optogenetics in freely moving mice and songbirds to ascertain how specific cell classes implement trial and error learning. We also build brain machine interfaces for novel treatments for neuropsychiatric disease.
