The laboratory of Slav Bagriantsev at Yale University (slavlab.yale.edu) is looking for a postdoc to study the molecular basis of mechanosensitivity in the somatosensory neurons of standard (mice) and non-standard animal models (tactile foraging duck, elephant nose fish).
Our lab uses a multidisciplinary approach, including electrophysiology, biophysics, biochemistry and transcriptomics to identify and characterize ion channels and their regulatory subunits that detect and transduce tactile information in the somatosensory neurons of animals from different evolutionary clades.
Experience with electrophysiology is highly desirable but not necessary. Interested candidates should email Slav at firstname.lastname@example.org
