Assistant Professor Positions AvailableTwo to three positions at the assistant professor level are available immediately in the Center for Brain and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS), School of Education, Guangzhou University. Introduction Located in Guangzhou, a beautiful and livable modern city in South China, the new-established CBCS is a research-oriented unit that aims to reveal the mechanisms of face perception and attention by using various techniques, such as EEG/ERPs, and fMRI. Led by Professor Shimin Fu (PI), this center will have about 8 full-time faculty members with multidisciplinary training and several joint-faculty members from the Department of Psychology, Guangzhou University. The center have access to fMRI scanner, EEG/ERP systems, eye tracker, fNIRS, and will be equipped with two new EEG/ERP systems. Applicants should have a strong record of publications in the relevant areas. Applicants should also own a PhD or will obtain a PhD no later than September, 2018, with a major in psychology, neuroscience, brain imaging, biophysics, or other related fields. Professional training in EEG/ERP is preferred for one position but is not mandatory, and expertise in using other research techniques, such as fMRI, fNIRS and eye tracker, are also welcome. Applicants with other multi-disciplinary research training, or with expertise in the field of social cognition, emotion, and autism research are also encouraged to apply.
