Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist Spinal Cord Injury Research
The laboratory of Dr. Mark Tuszynski within the School of Medicine at UC, San Diego (http://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body.
The laboratory conducts research towards developing: Therapies for spinal cord injury, combining stem cells and rehabilitation. The position makes innovative and significant contributions pertaining to: spinal cord injury research.
Academic applicants are sought with experience in all of the following:
1) animal models of spinal cord injury, 2) neural stem cell biology, and 3) neurorehabilitation
The Project Scientist will aid the PI in managing experimental design and conduct, and in writing and publishing scientific reports, manuscripts and grants.
Candidates must have an MD or PhD with an emphasis relevant to neuroscience and spinal cord injury.
Candidates with a track record of publications are preferred.
Appointment Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist rank. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and is based on University of California pay scales.
