As part of a major research initiative by the College of Human Environmental Sciences, the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at The University of Alabama is seeking applications for two new, tenure-eligible faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate levels, anticipated to begin August 16, 2018. The faculty members in these positions will be responsible for research, teaching (2/2), advising, service, and involvement in academic programming at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of addiction science. Each applicant is expected to have a record of research in addiction science (broadly defined) that involves or shows potential for external funding, the potential to or previous experience mentoring graduate students and/or undergraduate students in research, and previous teaching experience.
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies includes a vibrant and productive faculty, a robust undergraduate program, and offers graduate programs in three specializations: Human Development and Family Studies (thesis track), Marriage and Family Therapy, and Parent and Family Life Education.
