A full-time, NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellow position is available to study molecular mechanisms underlying learning and memory disorders, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other aging-related cognitive syndromes. The successful candidate should be a highly-motivated researcher with a PhD or equivalent degree. Strong research background in at least one of the three following areas is preferred: 1) Stereotaxic injection/surgery for gene or drug delivery in rodent brains. 2) Two-photon microscopy/imaging and electrophysiology in rodents. 3) Slice electrophysiology in rodents. Experiences with transgenic animal models and behavioral assays are desirable but not required.
