A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the laboratory of Anastasios Tzingounis, Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Connecticut, Storrs. The lab uses electrophysiology, microscopy, pharmacology, and mouse genetics to gain new insights into the role of potassium channels in controlling neuronal excitability and preventing seizures.
The successful applicant must have a PhD, MD/PhD, or MD and be highly motivated. The applicant should have strong background in ion channel physiology and electrophysiology. An ideal candidate would also have experience in pharmacology and/or molecular biology. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other lab members and external collaborators.
