The laboratory of Brendon Watson, MD-PhD at the University of Michigan Medical School is searching for 1 full-time fully-funded postdoctoral fellow in systems neuroscience. The laboratory will be studying fundamental structure-function of the cortex, hippocampo-cortical learning and sleep. We will use silicon probes as well as both macro- and micro-scale optogenetics in both freely moving and head-fixed rodents. Work can be either strongly analysis-dependent or strongly experiment-dependent depending on interests of the postdoc. Fellows will be given intellectual input in trajectory and designs of projects.
Positions will begin as early as September 1, 2017 and are funded for 1 year at the standard NIH payscale with option to extend if it is mutually agreeable to both lab director and fellow.
