A postdoctoral position is available for 2-3 years in the lab of Wade Berrettini, MD, PhD, Karl E. Rickels Professor of Psychiatry.
The research involves study of somatic DNA variation in CNS disorders, as a source of risk for psychiatric and/or neurological illnesses.
Projects involve temporal lobe epilepsy, schizophrenia and cocaine addiction, using DNA from postmortem human brains of persons with these illnesses to map one type of somatic variation, long interspersed elements (LINE-1s).
