We are looking for one highly motivated post-doctoral candidate to join our research group in the Development Neurobiology Unit at the GIGA-Neurosciences, Liège, Belgium (http://www.giga.ulg.ac.be/). A dynamic working environment, a competitive remuneration package, a stimulating scientific surrounding in a young, motivated team. To meet the increasing demands of performing multidisciplinary research, the GIGA offers Core facilities including imaging, molecular biology, proteomics/metabolomics, histology, aquatic facility (zebrafish), mouse facility, etc.
Candidate will have the opportunity to postulate for an attractive 3-years post-doc grant. By using a combination of transgenic mouse models and human induced pluripotent stem cells, our laboratory want to decipher to role of protein ubiquitibation in hearing impairment.

The center was created within the University of Liege in October 2003 and first included about 20 research laboratories working in different areas while using genoproteomic approaches. Since early 2007, GIGA-Research has developed a structure of 8 thematic research units (TRU), with about 600 researchers from 4 different Faculties (Medicine, Science, Applied Sciences and Veterinary Medicine). This... multidisciplinarity together with the pooling of technical, logistic and administrative resources is one of the major features of GIGA-Research.
