Baylor Scott & White Health (Central) is seeking a Full-Time Neuro-Oncologist to join the Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Institute in Central Texas.
The qualified candidate must possess a MD (or equivalent), be eligible or possess board certification in Neurology or another relevant specialty, have completed a Neuro-Oncology fellowship and be UCNS Neuro-Oncology eligible or certified prior to start of employment. The successful candidate must have experience in brain tumor clinical trials and is expected to partner with our current neuro-oncologist to oversee a busy outpatient clinic in the fast-growing Round Rock/Austin area. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in brain and spinal tumor treatment comprised of experienced clinicians in neuro-oncology, neurosurgery, radiation oncology and medical oncology. The candidate will support the new Cancer Center at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Round Rock and is expected to participate fully in the clinical and academic activities of Neurosurgery Department, including assuming an active role in continuous program growth throughout the region, resident training, teaching, and investigative endeavors. Diverse research opportunities are available and encouraged at the basic, translational, clinical, and health services/outcomes research levels.
Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor Scott & White Health (Central) has a fully accredited seven-year neurosurgery residency program and is the only academic Neurosurgery Department in Central Texas with eight full-time neurosurgeons in a major teaching hospital. The candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment with Texas A&M University College of Medicine with academic rank commensurate with training and experience.
